But despite its size, it’s a very simple product being little more than a long, narrow aluminum pole on a base. Setting it up was extremely easy, as it already came fully assembled. All I had to do was place it where I wanted and plug it into a wall. There’s only one button on the whole thing and the instruction manual is pretty brief.
Honestly, you’ll spend more time setting it up in theWiz V2 appthan anything else, and even that is pretty quick. Just connect your phone to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, turn on your Bluetooth, and activate pairing mode with the light. Within five minutes, you’ll be able to fully control and customize the floor lamp and its variety of lighting options. Setting up a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network if you didn’t already have one available is honestly the hardest part of the whole setup.

The WiZ Gradient Floor Light has a ton of options to choose from within the WiZ V2 app. There are several dozen preset patterns and color schemes, both static and dynamic. You can also pick your own color, and you can be very specific about it, inputting a particularcolor hex codeor even a color temperature value in Kelvin.
Unfortunately, you’re able to’t make your own unique dynamic color gradient. If you want to get ultra-specific with the light color, it will be static. You have to rely on the preset patterns for dynamic, shifting lighting. You can adjust both the brightness and the speed of the color changing for those.
While you may’t create your own color-shifting patterns, there are lots of other customization options within the app. For example, you can set the light to change color at certain times of day, follow a set schedule, or adhere to different “scenes” that you can set up with other WiZ devices. There’s even an audio sync option where the light changes according to music or sound, though using this requires a WiZ audio sync box.
All in all, there is a wealth of color options available, perfect for setting the mood to anything you need, whether it’s reading a book on a rainy day or completing your RGB gaming ambiance.
