There are a lot ofthird-party browsers on iOS. Mostly, people get them because of extra features they might not find in Safari — all browsers in iOS are based on Safari’s engine, even giants such as Google Chrome, so they have to stand out in other ways. Vivaldi is an option many have been awaiting ever since the development of an iOS version of the browserwas announced. Now, though, you can actually use it.

Vivaldi has finally released its browser for iPhone, joining the versions already available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and Chromebooks. The iOS version comes with lots of unique features for you to check out, as well as stuff such as secure syncing of browsing data across devices.

The browser will fire up with the Speed Dial screen, which is comprised of thumbnail galleries of bookmarks, allowing you to access your favorite sites quickly and organize bookmarks into nested folders. The interface also includes panels for quick access to tools like bookmarks, history, notes, a reading list, and downloads. And the Tab Switcher will help you manage open, private, and synced tabs.

The browser features a desktop-style tab bar, providing a convenient way to view and switch between open tabs. A built-in notes section lets you jot down ideas and sync them across devices. And the reading list lets you save web pages for later without the need for external apps or accounts — and just like all the other stuff here, it can be synced across devices as well.

A stand-out feature in Vivaldi is secure end-to-end encryption for syncing browsing data, including bookmarks, speed dials, passwords, history, and notes. The browser also includes an ad and tracker Blocker for enhanced privacy and a customizable search engine feature.

iPhone owners can add a personal touch with Custom App icons and a Vivaldi widget for quick access to various features. For iPad users, Vivaldi is optimized for larger screens, with a distinctive Start Page, left-side Panels, and efficient workspace management.

If this sounds like your kind of do-it-all browser, Vivaldi’s iOS version isavailable for download from the App Storefor devices running iOS/iPadOS 15 or above.
