The answer to the Wordle on April 6th is:Finch.
Merriam-Webster defines finchas “any of numerous passerine songbirds (families Fringillidae, Estrildidae, Emberizidae, and Cardinalidae) having a short stout usually conical bill adapted for crushing seeds.”
Finch is derived from a Proto-Germanic word “finkiz,” and the modern German word (Fink) is very similar to the word in English.
There are about 240 different kinds of finches globally. There are about as many unique types of finches in all of North America as there are on just the Galápagos Islands. For context, the Galápagos Islands are about 3,100 square miles(8,900 square kilometers) whereas North America is about 9.5 million square miles (24 million square kilometers). How Do You Get Wordle?
The most important thing you can do to finish a Wordle without running out of guesses is to pick a great starting word.

If you don’t want to use those, however, here are some ways to pick your own openers.
I typically start with the word raise for those reasons, and that is a choicebacked by some number crunchers. A good second guess depends on how well your first word did. If you got nothing with raise, for example, you should just assume that O and U are the vowels in the word and guess accordingly.
