You’ve only got one week to watch some of the best films on Netflix before they leave the platform at the end of this month. So if you’re sitting down to watch a movie at the end of a long day, don’t waste any time scrolling through random categories, queue up one of these classics and get watching.

New movies and TV shows get added to and removed from Netflix every day, but there’s always a surge of changes at the start or end of each month. I’ve scoured the list of everything leaving this month to round up the very best movies that you don’t want to miss out on. If you haven’t seen any of these before, verify you watch them while you still can. If you have seen them, consider this a golden opportunity to dive back in and enjoy them once again.

Stream licensed and original programming with a monthly Netflix subscription.

Leaving Netflix

June 26, 2025

Based on the books by Cressida Cowell,How to Train Your Dragontakes place in a fantasy realm inhabited by ferocious Vikings and even more ferocious dragons. It introduces us to Hiccup, a young and sweet Viking, who hunts down legendary Night Fury dragon to impress his village. Rather than vanquish the dragon, though, Hiccup names it Toothless and befriends it instead.

Since its release in 2010, this wonderful family-friendly animation has become one of DreamWorks' most successful franchises, spawning two animated sequels, several short films and TV series, and an upcoming live action remake. I’m not holding out a lot of hope for the live action remake, but the animated sequels are both excellent.

If you don’t have an aversion to classic movies,The Stingis a brilliant film from 1973—set during the Great Depression of the 1930s—starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford as conmen looking to settle the score with a big mob boss.

From the same director asButch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which also starts Newman and Redford, the film is broken into multiple parts with charming title cards and player piano music separating them. If you enjoy heist films, like theOcean’sfranchise, you’ll definitely get a kick out of watching the various cons play out.

From writer-director Edgar Wright—who also brought usShaun of the Dead,Hot Fuzz, andScott Pilgrim vs. the World—Baby Drivertells the story of an unusual getaway driver trying to work his way out from under the thumb of his criminal boss.

The driver, known as Baby, is almost always listening to music to battle tinnitus and past trauma, and it’s this music that Wright builds the film around. It’s filled to the brim with dynamic and bombastic action sequences set to the rhythm of whatever bangin' needle drop Baby is listening to at the time. It’s an absolute thrill ride and a visual spectacle.

Christopher Nolan’s 2014 sci-fi epic,Interstellar, is one of the greatest space films of all time, playing with relativity, black holes, and time travel to take you on a breathtaking adventure across the cosmos. The scientists at work behind the scenes on this film even accurately predicted what a black hole would look like long before we got a photo confirming it, which you can see onNASA.

The plot is set in the near future, at a time when Earth is ravaged by dust storms and humans are facing extinction as a result. It follows Coop, an ex-test-pilot for NASA, who is brought back into the fold to fly a mission across the galaxy as part of humanity’s last-ditch attempt to find a new home. But in doing so, he has to leave his family behind.

Mad Max: Fury Roadreignited theMad Maxfranchise with aplomb when it exploded into cinemas in 2015. It’s a heart-pounding, insanity-fuelled, non-stop action extravaganza that sees Max Rockatansky—played by Tom Hardy—captured by the pale-skinned War Boys and taken to their fortress. The majority of the film follows an epic car chase during which Max teams up with Charlize Theron’s Furiosa, who has turned against the War Boys' leader, Immortan Joe, to find freedom for herself and his numerous “wives.”

Unlike everything else on this list, which leaves Netflix on the last day of March, you only have until the 29th to watchFury Road, so put the pedal to the metal and get moving with it right away. If you like what you see, be sure to check out 2024’s follow-up,Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which details Furiosa’s backstory and is also on Netflix right now.
