Summary
The OnePlus Pad series has been a serious contender in the Android tablet space, thanks especially to its performance-to-value ratio. Now, the OnePlus Pad 3 is here, and it’s building on everything that made the two previous models so good, but at a higher cost.
OnePlusteased the new tableta couple of weeks ago, but today it’s officially available. Under the hood, you’re looking at a pretty nice upgrade. The Pad 3 boasts a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM. Storage options are equally nice, with 256GB or 512GB available. Powering all of this is a beefy 12,140 mAh battery packed into a body that’s just 5.97mm thick.

The display is a large 13.2-inch LCD panel with 3392x2400 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It gets bright, too, hitting 600 nits in normal conditions and a peak of 900 nits in high-brightness mode. The software you’ll be looking at on that screen is the latest version ofOxygenOS based on Android 15.
For snapping photos or the occasional video call, you’ll find a 13MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing one. You get camera-based face unlock, which is fine for unlocking the device itself, but there doesn’t appear to be any form of secure biometrics.
On the software front, there’s the usual dose of AI features, but most importantly, it still includes OnePlus' excellent Open Canvas multitasking system. This has been my favorite feature of OnePlus tablets and book-style foldables. This time around, they’ve added suggestions for app groups. But the best news is that OnePlus is committing to six years of security updates and three major OS updates, taking you all the way through Android 18.
For accessories, there’s an upgraded keyboard case, sold separately, that adjusts between 110-165 degrees and has NFC for quick file transfers between your phone and tablet. The OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus is back again, and there’s also a standard Folio case if you just need protection and a kickstand.
TheOnePlus Pad 3is available today, and pricing in the US starts at $699.99 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For those keeping track, that’s $200 more than theOnePlus Pad 2at launch. TheFolio Caseis $49.99, theSmart Keyboardis $199.99, and theStylo 2is $99.99. The 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage model is not available in the US.
