A lot of people like loud keyboards—I’m in that club. But many like the exact opposite, and that’s understandable too. MSI’s latest keyboard is all about being as silent as possible, and for what it’s worth, it delivers.
MSI has officially launched the Strike Pro Wireless keyboard. How does it stand out from other high-end keyboards from brands like ASUS, though? It’s built from the ground up to be silent. It’s not MSI’sfirst “silent” keyboard, but this one is probably a tier above. It comes with Kailh Midnight Pro Silent switches, which are tactile switches that muffle out the clicky sound as much as possible without losing the actual clickiness. These switches are rated for a lifespan of 70 million keystrokes and feature a dust-resistant housing for increased durability. But it’s not just the switches.

To achieve a near-silent operational profile, MSI has also added a multi-layer sound-dampening structure to this keyboard. This includes internal gaskets and muffler pads integrated into the chassis to absorb vibrations and eliminate the high-pitched metallic “ping” that you may typically find in some other mechanical keyboards.
This keyboard also has hot-swappable switches. So, if you think other switches can be more silent than this, you want to tone down the silence, or you prefer different switches, you can take out the pre-installed Kailh switches and install the ones you really want. The sky is the limit.
It’s equipped with three programmable “M keys” that can be configured through MSI’s software to execute complex macros, shortcuts, or in-game commands. And if you more direct controls that you don’t need to program first, the keyboard features dedicated media keys for playback and a multi-function smart scroll wheel, which can be used to adjust system volume or screen brightness. Per-key RGB lighting is fully customizable via the MSI Mystic Light software, but as someone who has some MSI hardware, I can tell you the software experience kind of sucks. Thankfully, there’s also a dedicated hardware key on the keyboard that allows users to cycle through lighting effects on the fly without opening any app.
For connectivity, you can connect your keyboard to your PC via low-latency 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, or a traditional wired USB-C connection. A set of hardware toggle buttons allows for seamless switching between these modes. The keyboard is powered by a 4,200 mAh battery, which MSI claims can deliver up to 1,500 hours of use. The keyboard comes with a magnetic USB-C adapter that snaps into place, reducing wear on the port and simplifying connection during use. It also has a detachable magnetic wrist rest made of memory foam, designed to provide support and reduce strain during extended typing or gaming sessions.
You can now buy this onMSI’s websitefor $170, which seems like a pretty good price for the package you’re getting.
