You’ve probably read a slew of “Prime Day Deals” posts all over the internet this week, so why is this one any different? Well, I own this exact TV, and today Ipublished a full reviewof everything it offers. Talk about perfect timing.

The 85-inch TCL QM6K initially launched in March for $1,999, although it usually retails for around $1,500. But for a limited time during Prime week, it’s heavily discounted to anall-time low of only $998. Yes, you’re getting a massive Mini-LED TV for under $1k.

The main attraction of the TCL QM6K line is the Mini-LED technology, which delivers stunning colors and inky black dark scenes at a more affordable price than those expensive OLED TVs. It’s the closest thing you’re able to get to OLED without spending several thousand dollars. And while the entire TCL QM6K line is on sale this week, which just came out earlier this year and is a 2025 model, I’m highlighting the massive 85-incher, as that’s what I have mounted on my wall.

This is TCL’s first entry-level TV to use Mini-LED technology, which is what made me want one. The picture quality is excellent, especially the darker scenes, and while no one aspect stands out above the competition, it does everything well. In my review, I said it’s a well-rounded TV that blurs the “entry-level” line with premium perks at an affordable price.

The TCL QM6K 4K TV has 500 local dimming zones, a new Halo Control system to prevent backlight bloom or bleed, a fast 144Hz refresh rate, 288Hz gaming rate, and is smooth as butter. Other goodies include a decent 40W Onkyo speaker system around back, support for HDR10, HDR 10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision gaming, Dolby Vision IQ, and more, all powered by Google TV.

This is an excellent TV, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find something this big, vibrant, and colorful for only $998. If an 85-inch TV is too big for your living room, consider a65-inch model for under $550. Get one before the sale ends.
