Where Are Contacts Saved in Gmail?
Gmail saves your contactson its cloud servers, which means you can log in to your Google account on any of your compatible devices to find and edit your contacts.

On Android, use the default Contacts app to view your Gmail contacts. On an iPhone, either use the Google Contacts website or manage your contacts through Apple’s Contacts app. On a desktop computer, you’ll access the Google Contacts website to access your saved contacts.
Note that on an iPhone, Google recommends accessing the Google Contacts website to make changes to your contacts—there is no official Google Contacts app for iPhone. Also, Gmail syncs your changes across all your devices, which means you have tomake changes to your contactson only one of your devices.

How to Find and Edit Your Gmail Contacts
To access and modify your Gmail contacts on your mobile or desktop, use the steps in the section specific to your device below.
On Desktop
Open a web browser on your desktop and launch theGoogle Contactssite. Sign in to the site if you haven’t already. Learn what to do if youforgot your Gmail password.
When the site loads, you’ll see all your saved contacts. To modify a contact, select a contact and then choose “Edit.”

All contact fields will become editable, allowing you to make any changes you want. When you’ve made the required changes, save your contact by choosing “Save.”
On Android
Launch the Contacts app on your Android phone to view all your Gmail contacts. To edit a contact, tap it on the list and then choose the pencil icon at the top.
Make the desired changes to your contact, then save your changes by tapping “Save” at the top.

How to Add Contacts in Gmail
To add new contacts to your Gmail account, use the following steps on your desktop or smartphone.
Access theGoogle Contactssite. In the site’s top-left corner, click Create Contact > Create a Contact.

On the page that opens, fill in the details of the contact you want to create. This includes the contact’s name, phone number, email address, and any other details. Then, save your contact by clicking “Save.”
Your contact is now created.
Open the Contacts app on your Android phone and tap “+” (plus) in the bottom-right corner.
You’ll see a “Create Contact” page. Here, enter your contact details. Then, save the contact by tapping “Save.”

Your contact is now saved, and you canexport your saved contactsas well.
How to Delete a Contact in Gmail
Removing a Gmail contactis as easy as selecting your contact and choosing an option. Here’s how to do that on your desktop and phone.
Launch theGoogle Contactssite and access the contact to delete. On the contact page, click the three dots and choose “Delete.”

In the prompt, select “Move to Trash.”
Google has moved your contact to Trash. It’ll delete your contact permanently after 30 days have elapsed. If you’d like to recover your contact within these 30 days, access “Trash,” find the contact to recover, and choose “Recover.”

And that’s it.
Open your Android phone’s Contacts app and tap the contact to remove. On the contact page, at the top, tap the three dots and choose “Delete.”
In the “Move to Trash” prompt, select “Move to Trash.”

Your contact is now moved to Trash, and it will sit there for 30 days before being deleted permanently. To restore the contact, access Fix & Manage > Trash, tap your contact, and choose “Recover.”
You’re all done.
