We’ve talked a lot about everything we love about the PS5. However, all these bells and whistles don’t come cheap. After all, you have to pay for quality. With this in mind, it makes sense that the PlayStation 5 comes with ahigher price tag. How much are we talking about? This version of the console will set you back around $500, depending on the model and bundle you purchase.
You might be surprised that a three-year-old video game console is still holding its value so well. However, it is the latest version and it has been in very high demand since its release. You might even remember when it wasnearly impossible to find one. This was due in part to the pandemic and a chip shortage, but also because gamers were so hungry for the hot new console.
However, even with this higher price, the improved functionality and access to an ever-growing video game library make the price of the PlayStation 5 well worth it. If you’re still feeling a little sticker shock, waiting for a shopping holiday like Black Friday or buying a refurbished model can help ease the strain on your wallet.
